The city is currently conducting a paving study and developing a 5-year paving program. Data collection is complete, and the information is now undergoing quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC) post-processing, which is expected to take 4 to 6 months. This process will yield a Pavement Condition Index (PCI) score for each roadway segment in the city.
The 5-year paving program will consider the current annual budget for paving, the PCI scores of the streets, and the current material costs. This will enable the Public Works department to create a comprehensive 5-year paving plan based on accurate data, allowing for a thorough evaluation of the entire road system.
