To be proactive with reducing the number of traffic crashes that occur within the City of Punta Gorda, the Punta Gorda Police Department conducts quarterly traffic crash analysis and compiles that data each year in order to identify problem areas (if any) and recommend public educational programs and traffic enforcement actions for the following year.
